Rejoice! GY!BE!
It’s true, Godspeed You! Black Emperor is coming back with another album! The band from Montreal are working on it and they scheduled a meeting after the current tour, currently these are the only details that have come to light.
I’m very eager to listen to this album, seeing that “Infinity” and “Lift your skinny fists” are simply works of art!
Cube.

Question of the Day [EVENING EDITION]: What’s Your All-Time Favorite Album?
Here to catch the late-night crowd, it’s time for the Evening Edition of the Question of the Day!
Tonight we ask: What’s Your All-Time Favorite Album? Remember, this is NOT the same as the album you think is the best! We’re looking for the album that means the most to you (and why, if you feel like telling).
Question of the Day: What’s Your All-Time Favorite Album?
From the looks of things, it seems like 4 images three days a week is the best pace for us. So on these “off” days when we’re building up our queue, we’d like to continue to get to know our followers better!
So, today we ask: What’s Your All-Time Favorite Album? Remember, this is NOT the same as the album you think is the best! We’re looking for the album that means the most to you (and why, if you feel like telling).
Daily Refresher For 6.28.11-6.29.11
If there’s one thing I’ve noticed about Tumblr, it’s that things move fast here. It’s dangerously easy for content to get lost in the minute-by-minute tide of the Dashboard (I can’t count how many times we’ve spied a post we quite liked just as we hit F5, never to be seen again). So, to try and alleviate this a little for our followers, we’ve decided to do a nightly recap post, that way anyone who might’ve missed our updates has one extra chance to see what we’ve been up to in their feed.
That said, here’s the recap for the last two days:
6.29.11
- “Hometown,” by Akira Yamaoka
- “The Friendly Faith Plate,” by the Aperture Science Psychoacoustics Laboratory (instrumental)
- “Black or White,” by Michael Jackson
- “Priority,” by Mos Def
6.28.11
- “Boy With A Coin,” by Iron & Wine
- “Pompeii,” by E.S. Posthumus (instrumental)
- “Hypnotize,” by System of A Down
- “I Think I Can,” by The Pillows
Also, thank you to everyone who answered yesterday’s question! Many of them were new, but some of them were favorites of ours that will live in our hearts for always and always and always. We’re going to seek the unfamiliar ones out and give them a whirl real soon!
Sincerely,
M+M
